Daytona Beach is the perfect beach town with a plethora of attractions. The beaches here manage the ideal balance of seaside charm and coastal sophistication. This makes it an entirely attractive travel destination. At over 20 miles of walkable and rideable beaches, you’ll find Daytona Beach to be one of the few Florida destinations where you can ride onto the sand and cruise along the shore and have a fun day in the sun and surf on lifeguard-patrolled beaches.
The city offers a variety of things to do. Your itinerary can be as complex or as simple as you wish-fill your days with museum hopping and world class shopping, or relax on the beach and watch the world go by.
Places to eat
You’re at the beach, relaxing, and just soaking up that awesome Florida sunshine when hunger pangs hit. Where do you go to find the best Daytona Beach restaurants? What’s nearby? What about Main Street Pier restaurants? Well, we’re here to give you some outdoor dining options.
For a place with history, the Ocean Deck originally opened as a hot dog stand in 1957, but started embracing the Caribbean themes in 1980 with the original open-air dining space embracing the theme, “No shoes. No shirt. No problem.”
For those who love a great view, Joe’s Crab Shack located on the Main Street Pier at the South end of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk is hard to beat. Enjoy a delicious crab cooked and seasoned a gazillion different ways, along with shrimp, fish, scallops, clams and everything else you can think of that comes out of the sea. The views are spectacular especially when the surf is up as you can watch the surfers and kite boarders hang ten and catch some serious air! From here it’s an easy walk or ride to the nearby boardwalk for more fun.
